Harley time!

Taking an aftermarket sportster gas tank and putting a cafe racer vintage spin. The inspirational images are what we’ll be gunner for but with a deeper/wet look.

Vintage Guerciotti

Friday, May 3rd, 2013

On this restoration we will be giving the paint a facelift (Cannondale Blue) – sticking with the original masked areas, and doing a few of the detail treatments in yellow. Decals and remaining detail treatments will be done off site.

Ohhh man!

Thursday, April 18th, 2013

From the decal applications to the metallic gold pin striping – this frameset looks better than the original (from what I’ve seen in the images). The amount of research and attention to detail paid off in the end. Hopefully I’ll be getting some images of this frameset at built up.

Steppin’ up to the plate!

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

The first pass of pin-stripping is showing great potential. These decals were the original set from 1970, so difficulty of placing them were quite high. There is a lot more prep work to go but you can get an idea what the finalized frameset will look like.

Details + Decals

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

The decals along with the detail treatments in yellow over the candy red look amazing! A few coats of clear to protect all this awesomeness – we’ll be in business to build her up.

OLMO’tastic…

Thursday, April 4th, 2013

Ohh man! This baby is dripping wet so much without the slightest touch of polishing. I wish I was restoring the rest of the frameset but I think it looks nice and juicy as is.

Craftsmanship…

After the patching and removing all the rust underneath the paint – there’s some quality work! If I had it my way, I’d but a nice euro clear over the frameset and call it a day. But doing a full restoration is just as satisfying.

The other image aren’t the best but here you go…

OL-MO’st there!

Thursday, March 21st, 2013

We are just about done with removing all the rust on the frameset and prepping the metal for prime time. Images coming soon of primer, along with the color tint.

Race time!

Friday, March 15th, 2013

It’s a bit difficult to capture the incredible effects on the surface, but hopefully I’ll get some sun images of the GoKart in the next couple of days. Otherwise, I can’t complain on the end result. The NJS combo with a hint of glass flake will literally blind folks when this number is on the race track.

OLMO in the house!

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

Restoration of the week goes to this vintage frameset – OLMO. After years of use, it’s time to make its way into the Icecream Shop for some goodies. We will be replicating another classic OLMO with a satin red/orange tone.

Flossy n’ Glossy

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

The glossy black against the original chrome tone is a beautiful combination. The clean masking just needs one final touch of the detail treatments.

Guerciotti Resoration

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

Restoring the whole frameset – from the detail treatments, the candy apple over metallic sivler, and the original decal set (hopefully). As usual, I’ll keep you folks in the loop

Karting along…

Wednesday, March 13th, 2013

This gokart’s shin is taking shape slowly by surely! I would try to get some sun images for you folks out there but this number is quite hard to move around. I’ll just have to wait till completion day (coming soon)!

Pass tell…

Great to see that the Yamaguchi pursuit is looking quite nice fully build up. I have to remember how I custom mixed this lavender to do one of my personal projects. Enjoy!
